CIA was part of the Deep State. 1960s West Papua was sold off instead of being fine – tuned into a democratic proposition the West led by US can be pride of. But, the action incurred a reaction 61 years later.

It was the UN’s pet project. Then nightmare. What happened? West Papua would have been 51 years a sovereign nation today with 10 years of self government from 1961, and in 1971, independence. PNG is 48 years free this year.
The contradiction is being played out with collapsed states all over the world, West Papua was first. This can be argued.
The Syrian Conflict is a contradiction. Robert F. Kennedy wrote:
‘They don’t hate ‘our freedoms.’ They hate that we’ve betrayed our ideals in their own countries — for oil'(www.politico.eu, 23 February, 2016).
Robert F. Kennedy, Jr referred to the death of his father who was murdered by an Arab, which helps explain the impact or lack of it of U.S. policy in the Mideast and particularly the factors that sometimes motivate bloodthirsty responses from the Islamic world against the US.
US foreign policy experts have put the focus on the rise of the Islamic State and search for the source of the savagery that took so many innocent lives in Paris and San Bernardino, but to really understand the events means to look beyond the convenient explanations of religion and ideology.
There would be factors that underpin the more complex rationales of history and oil — and how they often point the finger of blame back at US shores.
President Donald Trump while in the Oval Office had his views on the CIA, and how it has betrayed the American Dream.
West Papua is the last bastion of the free world.
